Programs administered by Columbia Opportunities, are funded in part by federal awards, some of which are passed through various NYS Departments and agencies, including:
Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) is funded via the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) - through the NYS Department of Health.
A portion of our environmental and insulation initiatives are based upon work supported by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) - through the NYS Homes & Community Renewal.
Administration for Children and Families (ACF) of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) as part of financial assistance awards totaling $2,277,500.
Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) - through the NYS Department of State
Low-Income Home Energy Assistance (LIHEAP) - through NYS Homes and Community Renewal and the Columbia County Department of Social Services.
Head Start is a direct federal grant to Columbia Opportunities.
Head Start is 80% federally funded and 20% funded by non-federal governmental/local match sources.
