Head Start Substitutes
Head Start is a comprehensive child development program for children ages 3 – 5. Head Start provides social, emotional, health and nutrition services for income-eligible families. Head Start encourages the role of parents as their child's first and most important teacher. Head Start builds relationships with families that support positive parent-child relationships, family well-being, and community connections.
Head Start Classroom Substitutes: On-call positions available in the Chatham, Hudson, Philmont, Valatie, and Taconic Hills classrooms. Assist the classroom team with children’s activities, planning and record keeping when regular classroom staff are not available.
Must enjoy working with children! Up to seven hours per day during the school year. Start your career with Head Start as a Classroom Substitute!
Pay Rate: $11.10
Sub trainings are held throughout the school year.
